I stepped onto a mattress showroom floor for the first time in 2004, and over the next thirteen years I grew into regional and consulting roles that let me see the industry from the inside, both what it did well and the pressure tactics that too often left people confused and overcharged.
By 2017 I realized that climbing the corporate ladder wasn't what I was made for, and I felt God pulling my heart toward what mattered most, which was my family and a life of ministry.
In 2020 I started Mattress Lux in Kennesaw, Georgia, built on the belief that people should be helped rather than sold, with no commissions, no pressure, and honest education at the center of every conversation.
In 2023 I began working alongside Every Bible Counts, and my trips to Uganda opened my eyes to how much good a business can do when its purpose reaches far beyond its own walls.
In 2024 the idea for an online brand took hold, a way to bring the same honesty and care our Mattress Lux guests experience to families all across the country, straight to their front door.
I spent 2025 researching products and manufacturing, because I wasn't willing to put our name on anything I wouldn't be proud to have in my own home.
In 2026 Bread Rest launched with fair prices, free shipping across the continental US, and a 100-night trial, so every family can find simple, honest rest and be part of a mission that's bigger than a mattress.
