What makes a Birch mattress organic?

Every Birch mattress is built from materials sourced directly from nature. Fair Trade Certified organic cotton, natural New Zealand wool, GOLS certified organic latex tapped from rubber trees in Sri Lanka, and natural steel coils. Birch never uses polyurethane foams, fiberglass, formaldehyde, or chemical flame retardants, and the entire build is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low VOCs and safe indoor air quality.

Which Birch mattress is right for me?

Birch makes three natural mattresses. The Birch Natural is a medium firm hybrid built for every sleep position and is the best entry into the lineup. The Luxe Natural adds a plush Euro top and two layers of organic latex for side sleepers and couples who want extra contouring. The Elite Natural is the top-of-the-line model with three layers of organic latex, microcoils, and zoned lumbar support for a medium soft, pressure-relieving feel. Is a Birch mattress safe and certified?

Yes. Birch mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold certified for low VOC emissions, GOLS certified for organic latex, and the cotton is Fair Trade Certified. Birch builds every mattress without polyurethane foams, fiberglass, formaldehyde, pesticides, or toxic adhesives, and only uses a small amount of water-based adhesive where necessary. How does Birch sleep temperature-wise?

Naturally cool. Organic cotton is breathable and moisture-wicking, organic wool regulates temperature through its multi-layer cellular structure, and natural latex has an open cell pattern designed for airflow. Combined with hundreds of individually wrapped steel coils, hot sleepers stay comfortable through the night, even in Georgia summers.
